Parks in the Metro

September 22, 2011 § 12 Comments

Clarice posted sa N@W na may group of developmental pedia who wants to conduct free assessment for kids so syempre sign up ako for Laya.  Result came out and all are great except for locomotor skills, so lagay pala na ito eh di pa naman masyadong pinapa explore si Laya, so super atat akong mag punta sa kung saang saang park with Laya to let her feel vast space and walk around and do whatever.  Ito ang aming UP adventure. Am lining up parks for her to go to…

My list (got these from my FB friends)

Nuvali (super wanna go here kasi may Koi pond eh Laya is so cute when she says fish with action pa, actually 2 actions niya for fish one is from Ninang Michelle and she calls the action nnn-nang)

Eco Park (but malayo daw eh so hmm bahala na)

UP sa likod ng Oblation (sabi Tisha)

Eton Centris (ito nakita ko as in super nasa plan ko na ito maski kami lang)

TechnoHub (this came as a suggestion so maybe para sa Kanin Club!)

I want Laya to be able to touch leaves, dirt sa ground, run, madapa, and all that. Si Kite kasi halos hindi nakaka outdoor, so rare na rare and sugat so maliit na sugat may takot na agad siya, eh ako nga nung bata eh mala mapa sa laki ang sugat na nagiging langib eh. Hope Laya will be more outdoorsy. Need to force her talaga to walk.

At least you got to have an assessment. Pag meron pa nyan na free ulit let me know ha. 🙂

My baby Jacob loves to walk and run very fast. Ako ang napapagod at natatakot for him. Amazingly, bihira madapa. Except the past few days, when he is doing the walking-hopping-skipping thing! His father said, kumakandirit daw! I love the word. Hehe. Now I am wishing that my next one would be a girl para mahinhin and di malikot masyado. I guess Laya is just being a prim and proper baby girl. 🙂

Does she know already how to scoot around on her “car”?

    • BenzRana says:

Wow can run can hop can skip? waaahhh yes she can scoot on her car na.

Will go and practice running, hopping & skipping sa parks na din hahaha

Naku, wag kang maniwala sa assessment haha, kaya bang mag-assess that much in 90 minutes? If you think na ok si Laya with her locomotor skills, e di good. Don’t feel bad na iba yung sabi sa assessment 🙂 Ang sabi nga kay Katy, she needs to socialize with kids her own age. Eh araw-araw siyang nasa school with 4 other toddlers, ano pang socialization ang kailangan? They never asked me questions eh, sa inyo ba? Para kasi silang nangangapa with what they’re doing, lagi pang kino-correct nung facilitator yung ginagawa nila.

    • BenzRana says:

hahaha di naman ako affected nung assessment but at least nakaroon ako ng itch for parks hahaha.

yeah i told clacla nga medyo on their toes sila kasi conscious sa presence nung taga Oz nga. parang teacher lang during accreditation 🙂

  • hooray for parks! 🙂 as if naman nakapag-park na kami. hahaha. pero we’ll be in nuvali next month. excited much! 🙂

    • BenzRana says:

pls pls pls message me about Nuvali ha…. daming pictures na din please after your trip.

Miss Benz, there is also the Philippine Aerospace in Villamor and of course, Luneta! Sobrang tagal ko na plano to go to Luneta, di na natuloy tuloy

  • Ceemee says:

Talagang kulang ang Pinas as mga parks for the kids’ active play. Even schools now ata wala nang playground with swing, slides, etc. That’s one frustration of living in the city.
